Questions for my Therapist
For many, choosing a therapist can be an overwhelming task. It is my hope that by answering some of the common questions I have recieved below, I can help take some of the pressure off.
How long do I have to attend therapy?
Q
A
The amount of sessions you attend will depend on what you want to address in therapy and what your goals are. When we meet, we will spend some time together talking about what you are hoping to accomplish, the frequency of therapy (every week or every other week), and developing a plan that best addresses your specific needs.
Do you take insurance?
Q
A
Currently, I do not take insurance, but I can provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, or application towards your deductible. Don't ever let finances be the reason you don't start therapy. I will work with you to develop a plan that is suitable for you. If you want more info on this, schedule a free 15-minute consultation and I can provide more details.
What if there is somethig I don't want to talk about in therapy?
Q
A
Sometimes, healing from painful experiences requires exploring the things that are hard to talk about, but you get to decide what to share. I will never force you to talk about something you are not comfortable with. My goal is to ensure that I am providing a safe and comfortable place for you to heal.
